Building a global crew network
CREW HQ needed a comprehensive online platform that would serve as the central hub for super yacht crew worldwide. The existing process of crew recruitment was fragmented — relying on word of mouth, paper CVs and disconnected databases.
They needed a platform where crew could create detailed profiles, captains could search for qualified candidates, and yacht management companies could manage their recruitment pipeline. The system also needed to support events, job listings and a premium membership model.
A custom Drupal-powered directory
We built CREW HQ on Drupal 7, chosen for its powerful content modelling, user management and taxonomy capabilities. The platform features a full directory listing system where crew members can create rich profiles with qualifications, experience, certifications and availability.
The search and filtering system allows captains and agents to find crew by role, qualifications, location and availability. Premium membership tiers provide enhanced visibility and additional features — powered by a custom e-commerce integration.
